Note me
Last December I spend my holidays in Michoacán in the region around Lázaro Cárdenas and I haven't seen so much palm trees (and other flora) close to each other and as far as you can see while you are walking on the beach, it was an amazing experience. And the longer I was there, the more people start becoming worried about the treat of the "La Familia Michoacana" cartel that spread the word that they planned to start a war, but nothing happened as far as I know, just some local shooting and the longer I was in Michoacán, the more road blocks there where by the police or the army to control cars, trucks and buses, kinda exciting to see.
I had all my photography equipment with me, DSLR packed in a Lowepro Slingshot with lenses, remote, 20Gb CompactFlash cards, ... in total it was like 5 or 6 kilo of equipment, for most of us still a nice weight to carry every day with you, but I barely used my DSLR in the four weeks I spend in Mexico. The region where I spend was very dusty and lots of wind and this made me choose to make most, actually all, my pictures with my cellphone.
So I bought some app's for the iPhone 3Gs and start working with them and after a couple of shots using Hipstamatic and seeing the result how this app uses filters to make your digital shots look analog, I made over 500 pictures in four weeks from my holidays with that app. For normal shots I used Camera+ where I could change the white balance any time I wanted and when necessary I could use the filter that this app offered and for other applications I used Photoshop express for iPhone, a powerful combination of photography app's on my cellphone.
Some of the results of these app's I have used...
